Construction of Gas Analytical Orifice Meter

How an Orifice Meter Works
Gas Analytical orifice meter is designed to work on the principle of differentiated pressure measurement. Once a liquid is passed through the orifice plate, it creates a drop in pressure across the orifice plate. The pressure drop varies depending on the flow rate. The difference in pressure between the inlet and outlet sections allows for accurate measurement of the flow rate of the liquid or gas.
Gas Analytical provides three main types of orifice nozzle and venturi flow rate meters:
- Single chamber
- Double block and bleed
As the name suggests, the single-chamber orifice fitting features one chamber that allows for precise measurement of the flow rate of liquids and gases.
The dual-chamber setting consists of downstream and upstream sections as well as O-ring seals. This set up does not require maintenance of the gasket thanks to the O-rings. The dual-chamber setting also features a valve seal.
